It doesn’t matter if you are trying to publish in NYC, want to self-publish, want to grow your readership, or want to improve your reviews–the first five pages are crucial to your success. Join NYT bestseller Faith Hunter in a hands-on session where she will personally critique your first 5 pages. This workshop includes tips on bait-and-hook, learning where your book actually begins, overused openings and how to keep yours fresh, and other devices to pull your reader into the story fast and keep them reading. You must sign up early and send your first five pages to info@fantasybookfest.com by May 30, 2020, in order for Faith to critique each one. As this is a smaller workshop, it will be held in a separate meeting room from the rest.

These Audie Award winning narrators will be performing LIVE, enchanting you with excerpts from both classic fantasy novels and current works. They may even take requests! Grab a chair, eat some s’mores, and prepare to be swept away. Bonus points if you come in pajamas!
